Who are the men most at risk of #prostate #cancer?

All Urologists and Oncologists and GPs agree on which men are most at risk of prostate cancer and it is almost certainly form this group of men that the 11000 men who die from this disease come from.

The men in the HIGH risk group are:-

1/ Men of Afircan or Caribbean origins they are 2/3 times more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer, that risk goes higher when other factors are taken into account.

2/  Men who have a family history of prostate cancer where a first line relative had the disease the risk is 2/3 more and can be much higher if that realative is a brother.

Despite it being universally accepted and known by their GPs that these men are in the HIGH risk group they are not routinely given the information that could save their lives.

The healthcare professionals code includes ‘DO NO HARM’.

The lives of the men in the HIGH risk groups ARE suffering harm.

I dont include men with symptoms because it is obvious they are high risk and the fact that most of the men in 1/ and 2/ above rarely have symptoms in the early stages of the disease.
